Featured Trick
Hubbcap
Rider: Jonathan Root
Description: Prone 360 spin with a prone barrel roll thrown at the end of the spin, then connected into another prone 360 when you come out of the barrel roll.
How To Perform: Similar to the Hubb, make sure to lead with your body and dig in your outside leg. Added complexity with the second spin leads to most riders having trouble with over cutting or undercutting the second spin. Typically slower, thicker and/or flatter Flowrider waves will require less cut as it is easier to get pushed out the back of the wave, while waves that are faster, thinner and/or steeper can be given more cut into the second spin since it is easier to catch a rail. Keeping the core tight coming out of the barrel roll and leading into your spin will help maintain momentum if you are having trouble completing the second spin.
